History of Proulx Oil & Propane, Inc.
Proulx Oil & Propane was originally established in 1944 by Joseph A. Proulx in Epping, New Hampshire.
Maurice J. Proulx, Joseph's son, worked in the family business for his father and continued the family heritage in the heating business. He ultimately carried on the Proulx name in the Seacoast area of New Hampshire.
- In 1985, Maurice established a foothold in Newmarket, New Hampshire.
- In 1987, he was joined by four of his six sons and one daughter in the same location, still in operation today.
- In 1996, due to increased customer demand, Proulx added propane gas and related products to the mix.
- Proulx Oil & Propane is in Newmarket, NH with delivery and distribution located in Epping, NH.
Many aspects of the heating industry have changed throughout the years but today the 3rd & 4th generations continue the same tradition of solid family values, a sound sense of duty, and a focus on being the best. Our employees are as much a part of the Proulx family as were the founders back in 1944. We recognize that it is only through a shared vision and common goals that we have succeeded in maintaining this 81-year tradition. This tradition is instrumental in placing us in the enviable position of being considered by many as one of the top fuel oil and propane providers in the NH Seacoast, Southern Maine and North Shore Massachusetts markets.
