Proulx Sponsors 7th Annual Touch-A-Truck Fundraiser

PORTSMOUTH – The Richie McFarland Children's Center (RMCC) will hold its 7th Annual "Touch-A-Truck" fundraiser on Saturday, October 15, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Two International Drive on Pease International Tradeport.

Children and adults can stop by and see big construction equipment, the Roaming Railroad, limousines, oil trucks, tow trucks and military vehicles.

Children will be able to touch, sit in, climb on and have their pictures taken with the vehicles and the professionals who operate them. Admission is $5 per person, not to exceed $20 per family.

The event is sponsored by Comcast, Exeter Hospital, D.F. Richard Energy, Waste Management, Wheelabrator Technologies, Unitil, Portsmouth Regional Hospital, PIKE Industries, Lamprey Energy, Parenting NH, Dr. H.J. Ludington, Service Credit Union, Core Orthopedics, the Provident Bank, Staffing Sense, Proulx Oil & Propane, Lindt Chocolate, Seacoast Volkswagen, Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, Palmer & Sicard and Daystar Computer Services.

This year's event space has been generously donated by Two International Group. A rain date is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 16, if absolutely necessary. There will be two horn-free hours from 10 am to noon.

All proceeds from the event will support the programs at the Richie McFarland Children's Center. The non-profit organization provides developmental and therapeutic services for children, support and education to their families and guidance in accessing community and health resources.
