Proulx Oil & Propane Answers the Call to Provide Relief for Haiti

February 23, 2010

Proulx Oil and Propane has answered the call to provide relief for earthquake torn Haiti. In response to the overwhelming needs of the Haitian people, Proulx Oil and Propane has partnered with the Haitian Community Center in Manchester, NH. Proulx Oil and Propane has been coordinating the delivery of empty 55 gallon drums to various civic organizations, churches and businesses where the drums are filled with donated relief supplies. The barrels are then picked up full and delivered to the Haitian Community Center in Manchester where they are promptly shipped to Haitian families directly, with no Haitian government involvement. Supplies have been sent direct to rural Haitian villages where residential addresses still exist. Unlike in Port Au Prince, which essentially has no working residential address system left. Proulx Oil and Propane will continue to provide support as the need continues. If customers are interested in contributing to the program, Proulx Oil and Propane has offered to act as a collection center for relief supplies.
